Home Extension Canvey Island Castlepoint Essex
Due to the changes into categories of the GPDO or permitted development rules, it is amazing what can be done under PD and this extension originally was designed with PD compliance in mind.
However the customer wanted to take the extension right to the boundary, which required planning approval which we succeeded in getting for the customer.
We then went on to produce building regulations drawings which were also approved.
This is only a small job, but it goes to show that we give us much care and attention to both smaller and larger projects.
The added space greatly improved the day to day usability of the bungalow giving it a further lease of life in the sense of not having to move for a while with a growing family.
By re distributing the space in the bungalow the home extension was able to result in a further much needed bedroom.
- If you are looking to have an extension carried out and need drawings please give us a call and we would be happy to produce a quote.
If your intention is to construct a home extension under permitted development rights, you should be made aware that whilst you do not need planning approval as long the design meets the PD rules, you will still need to comply with building regualtions.
In addition , depending upon the design and the proximity with neighbours properties you may also need to serve a party wall notice under the Party Wall etc. act 1996.
We can also help with Party Wall matters.
The photographs show extracts of some the drawings.
